June Lake Loop Activities
Silver Lake Kayak, SUP or Canoe
Silver Lake on the June Lake Loop is a beautiful spot to kayak, SUP, or canoe.
The boat ramp on silver lake is an excellent place to launch (however as of 05/2022 the boat ramp was closed and under construction)
There are other excellent places to launch along the shore on Silver lake.
One excellent spot where we launched is right next to the Silver Lake lodge.
More detailed information about kayaking on Silver Lake is on my website at this link

Parker Lake Trail
The Parker Lake Hike.
The Parker Lake Trail is a 3.6 mile out and back 2-3-hour day hike (3.6 miles round trip). The hike to Parker Lake passes through wild ridge lands, aspen and pine forest and travels part way along creek bed. The hike ends at the glorious high alpine Parker Lake. The incline is moderate and the lake is stocked for fishing. The trail head is located at the north end of the June Lake Loop (State Rte. 158). A popular hike but lighter trail traffic than on those closer to towns June Lake and Mammoth Lakes. Hiking up to Parker Lake there are some wonderful views down to Mono Lake!
To reach the trail head for the hike, drive up Parker Lake Road (which is a dirt road) up to the Parker Lake Trailhead.
The last section of Parker Lake Road is a bit rough and rocky, but not sandy. We drove up to the trail head in a 2 wheel drive mini van. You should drive slowly and carefully over the rocky areas. You can park down the road a ways if you don't want to drive over the rocky part at the end.
Please follow leave not trace environmentally friendly practices - take your trash out with you!

The June Lake Loop
I am posting some information and pictures about activites in the June Lake Loop area - still a work in progress.
The June Lake Loop has several nice lakes. Some are excellent for a kayak, SUP, or canoe. The June Lake Loop also has some nice hiking.
Lakes on the June Lake Loop include: June Lake, Gull Lake, Silver Lake, and Grant Lake
My favorite lake to paddle on here is Silver Lake
Nearby is Mono Lake which is a spectacular place to paddle a kayak, canoe, or SUP
The June Lake Loop is sometimes called the June Lakes Loop.
